N14020
I've been reading this forum for a bit now, and got useful information on installing my HID kit from here, thanks. Anyways now, i want to put a sun strip across the front windshield of 20%, but i notice these black dots that stick up and don't allow the windshield to be flat their. Has anyone done it there self and how hard is it to get the tint to seal over these bumps,? if you cut around them, it'd look like $hit....i also did my front 2 windows with no issues, it's just the windshield im not sure how to go about covering those dots....2012 edge sel
N14020
well obviously im not the only person around here that's want one...or tried to do it myself...anyways i did it with 5% tint, super easy even with that dot pattern up there, i went right over it with no issues, looks good. gmfranco88
Yes no problems at all.. Except the obvious air pockets that are visible from the outside, but that's normal with any tint installation over that dot matrix. From inside all looks good. 35% tint. enigma-2
Would it be possible to mask it off and use a spray tint? Edited May 10, 2015 by enigma-
sman83
Old post, slow day at work, but I just tinted my windshield, CXP 80. Those little dots are teflon, purely for aesthetics. Not sure if paint would stick to them. My tint looks just fine over the dots though. $200 to have the windshield tinted.
