aalexx956
Hi everyone im new here and was wondering if anyone had some info on how to remove the headlight housing on a 2012 ford edge. I installed some hids but water seemed to get inside. I wanted to remove the headlight housing to empty out the water that's inside it. But I don't have any idea on how to do this. Any help will be greatly appreciated thanks.
normcloutier
I have done this a half dozen times already. Pretty easy once you know what to do. You have to remove the front bumper in order to remove the headlight housing. There is a video on the forum that details the removal. Hardest part is removing the clips that hold the accent light pipes to the bumper. What HID kit are you using?
aalexx956
Yeah that's what I thought thanks for the help. And I'm using a 6k slim ballast kit. And I'm very happy with my investment. I highly recommend that if you'll haven't made the switch to H.I.D's from the regular halogen bulbs your missing out on the full potential of having projector headlights. normcloutier
Hmm. Cant seem to paste a link from the video that I used. If you search for "removing headlights and grill" it will be the first one in the list. Note that you don't have to remove the 9 screws in the bottom.. Only the 2 outer ones on each end. Leave the skirt attached to the bumper.
WWWPerfA_ZN0W
Norm, make sure the URL is not the first line of your post. Sometimes the HTTPS in the link can be a problem, but HTTP will work.
