kstroupe
I have a 2011 Ford Edge that recently started smelling like propane when we drive it. I took it to the local Ford Dealer here in Reno. They were unable to smell it and said the car was in working order. They said there was a service bulletin related to the power transfer that smells like propane when it is leaking, but said ours is not. They suggested we buy an air freshener, not the solution I have looking for. Anyone with information on this issue? Thank you, Kevin Stroupe Reno, NV
WWWPerfA_ZN0W
Changed the cabin air filter recently? That would be the easiest issue to tackle. Backed up condensation drains smell like mildew, so that's not likely to be it, but still worth a check if the cabin filter doesn't pan out. Lastly, there is a possibility of an exhaust leak, but I don't know of any specific weakness in the exhaust chain to point you to.
JOEHIO
If you change the cabin filter, and it still smells, I would DEFINATELY go to another dealer. Why not contact regional zone manager with this complaint ? This is not an acceptable answer to buy a air freshner - Arseholes !
