dacurb
I have a 2012 Edge SEL. After going to the car wash, I notice that when I lower and raise the driver side window, it comes up with water streaks on it, as if there is is a pool of water inside the door well. Has anyone else run into this? Thanks for any info.
gmfranco88
dacurb, you most likely getting the streaks from the felt-like material that is located on the inside of the outer panel. If you lower your window you will notice it. As a rule of thumb, I try not to lower my windows after a car wash to avoid the streaks. dacurb
gmfranco88 -- Thanks. I wondered about water collecting in the door well becuase this only happens on the driver's door. None of the windows in the other doors come back up "wet"
WWWPerfA_ZN0W
Driver's window gets the most use, so most likely to have "issues" as parts wear over time. Maybe try some silicone lube spray on the rubber/plastic strips to keep them "tight" to the window?
enigma-2
My 09 MKX also has water streaks as well. Pain in the a**, but probably common to this model. Like gmfranco88 I avoid lowering my windows after a car wash as well.
