LF321!
Hi! After 245,000 miles on a 2004 Chrysler Town & Country we purchased new, the trans gave out (2nd one) so we donated it to charity. When looking for a replacement, my wife liked the Edge more than anything else we tested. We found a 2013 Edge Limited with 17,000 miles on it and bought it last week. So far, we like it a lot. I joined this forum to get (and give over time) helpful tips as I do most of the maintenance on our cars myself. I do have a couple of questions: There is a slight amount of rust beginning to show on the two exhaust tips in the rear. Thought these would be stainless steel. Does anyone have an issue with them rusting? I plan to use Mobil 1 (looks like Ford recommends 5-20). Any comments on that choice? Thanks in advance! rwf78155
Welcome and congrats.......you are gonna love your Edge! I was a GM guy until I got a Edge Sport and so far Im really impressed This site is great and many tips and tricks...even a Ford rep (who is fantastic) is on this site. My first recommendation...if you notice your headlights are less then pleasing (a common gripe ) ..... go to daytimebrightlites.com for HID replacements ... east install and a world of difference...their DRL'S are great too Edited April 9, 2015 by rwf78155

WWWPerfA_ZN0W
Welcome to the forum and the Edge family, here's to many miles of smiles! No problems with the exhaust tips here, except for the normal carboning. Recommended to do cleaning with 0000 stainless steel wool pads (commonly available, I got mine from Home Depot) or a clean cloth & Mother's Mag&Aluminum Polish, and protect the finish with Collinite Metal Wax or similar product. Mobil 1 5W20 should work fine, the Ford OEM filter is still a great value and would recommend unless going for an extended OC interval, in which case you have to get an appropriate filter from Mobil 1/Amsoil/etc. Edited April 9, 2015 by WWWPerfA_ZN0W
