DarkBlue
Hey guys, I've noticed a bit of a slip in the transmission when I start to accelerate from a stop. I step on the gas a bit and revs up, like its in neutral, and then it finally catches after a second. It's happened twice in the last week. Both times was when the vehicle was cold, maybe within 2 minutes after its started, and the temperature has been around the freezing point or a few degrees below. I've checked the tranny fluid level and all seems well, doesn't smell burnt and looks nice and clean. Drives perfectly fine after that. Just wondering if it's something to really worry about at the moment. We did get a 3 year power train warranty with the purchase of the vehicle. I just don't want to waste my time taking back to the dealer to find out that they couldn't recreate the problem.
WWWPerfA_ZN0W
Could be a 5th gear start from stop situation (TSB on that), trans fluid could be low, PTU fluid may need to be drained/filled. I think the TSB applies though: TSB 10-21-02 SLIP_NEUTRAL OUT, 5TH GEAR START FROM STOP, ELECTRONIC PRNDL ERROR TSB 10-21-02 SLIP_NEUTRAL OUT, 5TH GEAR START FROM STOP, ELECTRONIC PRNDL ERROR.pdf
DarkBlue
I forgot to mention, it's a 2008 limited FWD, with 128000 Kms, and according to the factory scheduled maintenance booklet all the maintenance was done and signed off. DarkBlue
I think it was owned by an older couple before I bought it. It was definitely a good find.
