Kitulu
Had a strange issue this morning as I was getting ready to go to PT. My wife had driven my 2008 Edge Limited to work the night before, so the seat was all the way forward. When I unlocked the door with my key, the seat did not move. When I hit the #1 settings button (which have my settings saved), the seat would not move. I tried to move the seat by using the adjustment switch on the seat itself, but it still would not move. I had to give up and take my son's car to PT. When I got back home, about an hour and 45 minutes later, I was going to pull the fuse and check, but on a whim I hit the setting button again, and the seat worked! I hit the #2 button, and the seat moved back to my wife's settings. I hit my keyfob button and the seat moved back to my settings. Does anyone have an idea what would cause an intermittent issue like this?
WWWPerfA_ZN0W
So memory was not lost? You may need to change the battery in the keyfob, but it seems more likely the adjustment mechanism has an intermittent short, or the motor is on its' way out. I don't know if the system sets any codes retrievable by an ordinary OBD scan tool. Edited March 20, 2015 by WWWPerfA_ZN0W
