Question for those with Lincoln Headrest DVD System

Recommended Posts

Hi All,

I am about to to receive the MKX I ordered. I had originally ordered it with the Dealer installed Headrest DVD system. This system is actually made by a company called Invision. I have a few concerns which perhaps those with the Lincoln version of this DVD headrest system can address.

1)

We also have an '08 Subaru Outback. We had an Invision system installed. PROBLEM: When the Invision headrests were inserted, the result was a huge gap between the back of the front driver's/passenger's head and the headrest. The readrests were too shallow and set to far back relative to the seat. It made it a very uncomfortable drive with no head and neck support. We had the Invision system removed from our Outback.

-What is your experience with the Lincoln system?

-Does the position of the headrest (relative to your head) feel close enough, does it feel natural?

2)

In our Subaru Invision system, we found the remote control unreasonably complex to oprerate (kids coudn't do it). This is very different than systems we have had in other cars which were simple and easy to use (insert a dvd and hit play).

-What is the Lincoln interface and remote like?

3)In our Subaru Invision system, we found there was no way to dim the screens manually and it did not happen automatically when it was dark outside. This meant the brightness was blinding when used at night.

-Do the Lincoln screens dim to an appropriate level (automatically or manually)?

Thank you in advance for all of your help.
