AZDiddy
Just purchased a 2013 Edge. The bluetooth is connected to my iPhone and works for phone calls but I can't play any songs from iTunes or other music apps. Confused. The Ford user guides aren't very helpful. What am I doing wrong?
AZDiddy
The songs are playing on my phone but no sound is coming out.
akirby
Did you switch the audio input to the BT device? Make sure the iphone audio source is set to sync.
AZDiddy
Thank you! I just went out and sat in the car and played with all of the buttons until I finally found how to choose the source and set it to BT.
AZDiddy
Can I save that setting so I don't have to change it every time? I prefer to use the bluetooth.
bce
Can I save that setting so I don't have to change it every time? I prefer to use the bluetooth. Not sure what setting you are talking about, but if you have the audio source set to bluetooth when you turn it off, it will be the same source the next time you start your car. AZDiddy
Sometimes it stays there when I turn it back on again but it doesn't sync up - I have to go through the steps again when I turn the car back on.
akirby
Do you have that phone set to Favorite? Does it not connect at all or does it connect to a different device?
FordIVTteam
Which SYNC system do you have, AZDiddy? Here's a link to help you determine which one (just in case): http://owner.ford.com/how-tos/sync-technology/all/get-started-with-sync/how-to-identify-your-sync-version.html Fun fact - with all of our systems, you can press the VOICE button on your steering wheel and say BLUETOOTH AUDIO to access that source.
