Sport dual exhaust system on the 3.5L

Hi All!

Has anyone installed a complete Sport dual exhaust on a normal 3.5? Obviousley, it's a more efficient system capable of a few more horspower and better MPG.

Not necessarily. The Edge factory exhaust has proven to be very free flowing already, so any improvement would be minimal at best and probably not worth the cost.

omar302 once made a post on this, I believe. Some 2011's may have already come with a true dual exhaust, I have seen a couple of videos on YT with true duals. No idea on effects on power/torque, though by themselves, wouldn't gain much. Would need better downpipes to complete the path. Stock downpipes tend be relatively "twisted".

Cost for a new Sport exhaust from Ford is astronmical. But find a used system from someone that went to a cat-back system or salvage yard and the costs would be in line. If there was a minimal gain from the Sport exhaust, Ford would have just pocketed the money. I don't think Ford would have spent the money on bragging rights just to say the car has a dual exhaust system. Of course intake and programing would influence total HP gain.
