mc62412 Posted April 16, 2016 Report Share Posted April 16, 2016 I've got the sport so my grill is already black was thinking about doing the chrome just under the hood like the pic above me. I think it looks pretty bad ass but not sure if I will love it enough. I know they say the plasti dip comes off with out harming what your putting it on but I don't know if I believe that. I don't want to do it then end up hating it and it screw up the chrome. Plus I don't know how I feel about the matte look. viper0076 Posted June 27, 2017 Report Share Posted June 27, 2017 I did the plasti-dip. It looks great but doesn't last very long ( about 2 months). Maybe if you put it on REAL thick it will withstand the stone chips from the road hitting it. You get little "sparkly" things after awhile. I'm going to replace with the inserts. Redbow Posted June 27, 2017 Report Share Posted June 27, 2017 Did mine almost 2 years ago. Still looks good, and I see no flaking or rock chips. Just a few little dents in the plasti-dip. chefduane Posted June 27, 2017 Report Share Posted June 27, 2017 I actually painted mine with Tuxedo Black (Color Code UH) and then laid on some clear coat. You can buy new panels already primed and ready for paint.
