jcarmichael75
My wife's 2011 Edge SEL will stall after 30 seconds to a minute if you sit with your foot on the brake and the vehicle is in drive. I thought maybe it had something to do with all the talk about faulty TBs but I'm wondering if it's something to do with the idle air control valve. It's only happened the past couple days and it has been quite cold 5-20 degrees. Any thoughts?
omar302
Brakes are ok? The booster could be leaking vacuum which could affect engine idle.
WWWPerfA_ZN0W
Brake booster, IAC and battery would be tops on my list to check. Here is an article you may find useful: http://www.2carpros.com/articles/engine-stalls There is an extended warranty on the brake booster, so definitely possible. Does the Edge stall if you shift to Neutral and stay on the brakes for the 30 seconds+? Experienced any other mechanical/electrical issues lately? Recent servicing?
