krazyteggy
So I decided to add another set of driving lights to the front of my 09 limited.... It took me a little bit of figuring, but I must say I'm pretty happy with the end result. Let me know what you guys think
WWWPerfA_ZN0W
How well do they work? Are these Oracles?
krazyteggy
Honestly I'm not sure of the brand as I had them given to me. They are more of a flood than a spot, but when headlights, driving lights and the new lights are on..... The light output resembles HID. I'm happy with the outcome.

Ummm, did you check to see if they affect oncoming drivers?
candurin
I would assume those are for dark, unlit roads/areas where there are no oncoming traffic.
PaulSchott
I'm not sure about Canada, In the U.S. it is illegal to have more than 4 lights on at the same time. That's why the fog lights turn off when the high beams are on.
krazyteggy
Candurin, you are correct. I would not use these while traffic is coming towards me. I do a lot of night driving without Street lights, so these work well on back roads and highway. Lights up the shoulder quite well
akirby
Strength of front lamps (9) No motor vehicle shall carry on the front thereof more than four lighted lamps that project a beam having an intensity of over 300 candela. R.S.O. 1990, c. H.8, s. 62 (9). Those are technically illegal in Canada if you run them with the brights on or with dims and fog lights. You could run them legally with dims and no fog lights. And as stated you do not want to have these on with approaching drivers - you will definitely blind them if they're flood lights.
