cbrenn71
Hey guys, - i will be starting a tinted headlight core program for you guys to compliment my tinted tail lights. This will allow those who want their headlights tinted, but are unable to do so because they can't send them in. I will be offering tint in HID blue, Euro Yellow, and light and dark tint. The dark tint is recommended only for show vehicles, due to the decrease in light transmission. I will get back to you with pricing, but for now, expect to pay around 300. The core return is going to be around 150 and i will include the first 15 dollars shipping, just like with the tails. The tint will carry a five year warranty against peeling. Please post your interest, and perhaps you can begin getting a core list together, just to show interest. Chad.

cbrenn71
this is lamin-x. i am a vendor, and can get you headlight and fog protection for just a bit under what lamin-x offers if you want to install it yourself, however i offer a 5-yr warranty if i install. i can get fairly large discounts if you are interested in bumper and hood protection. Sweet..I would love to do the front end, heads and fogs..I did they film on the tails to smoke them..and it was horrible to get it to lay down..I couldn't imagine trying to install it on the front end of the truck..it would probably be hell.. What would you charge me to apply the clear film on the heads you have and then send them to me and let me send you my cores back..I would rather you do it then myself.. I put a film on our IS300 that had a blue tint..and it was hard to get to lay too..but no where near as hard as it was for the tint I got for these tails..maybe its the quality of the film? I needed to talk to you about the darkness of the tails aswell..I want mine to be much lighter then scoops..hopefully its acheviable.. what I have on it now almost matches the pewter color of the truck..I like that ALOT.. cbrenn71
i will be able to get you a lighter tint, so, when you come up in line for the tails just remind me. As for the headlights, no problem, i can install it for you, there are definately some tricks to getting it to lay right. Chad.

scoopo
Hey Chad. I've been in one of my "neglect my PC" modes lately. I'm interested but I think I'm going to wait a bit till I figure out what/how/who concerning modding my grill. Paint, powdercoat, something. Could you post a pic? Still waiting for the lenses to arrive. I'll post a pic when i'm done. As for the grill, if it's plastic, you can't powder coat it, or it will melt. I would just suggest painting it body color. I could even do that if you're interested, but would say your local body guy would charge you roughly the same, after shipping to me and back is figured in. cbrenn71
Hey guys, if you're wondering why this hasn't taken off faster, my first set of headlights came in broken. I should have another set come in mid to late this week. I already have the tint waiting (smoke) for the lenses. Do we want to start a core list? Lenses are insurance grade - meaning they are new take-offs with no damage to them. The core will run 230 which will fully be refundable, upon receiving the stock lenses back, less any shipping costs over 15 dollars - Remainder comes out of 230 core return. The cost to tint will be 140 and i cover the first 15 dollars shipping. The 140 includes the tint and the install. Basically, your cost, after returning your stock set, would be 140. I think that's a very fair price considering the material cost and installation. The smoke will compliment my tinted tails very well, but keep in mind, there is also HID blue, yellow, charcoal (not technically street legal) and clear (for stone protection). If you would like to start the list to hold your place in line, feel free to do so: 1: 2: 3: 4: 5:

cbrenn71
good news guys. I finally have the tinted headlights finished, and they look great i think. i'll get pics up tonight or tommorow.
cbrenn71
here is the first set. sorry pics are blurry, hard to get a good shot indoors with my digital camera i'm using. This is the smoke tint, and is what i would recommend for anyone wanting their headlights tinted. Pictures are taken with the flash off, but lenses are darker in person. I wont have pictures of the lights installed. I dont have an edge. The best i can do is take pictures all the way around of the lights, in better daylight. Hope that helps. cbrenn71
I suggest either the light smoke - like in pic 1, or the optical blue as seen in pics 2 and 3 i would not recommend the tint from the z06, unless you have a show vehicle
