gibhaus
Hopefully some Sync owners can answer this, I'm considering getting an Edge and am really interested in Sync. I read that it can take a while to index your iPod after you plug it in, does it do this every time you get in the car and plug it in? Or is it quick the next time. My concern is that I have a 15 minute drive to work and that it will be indexing for most of that drive. I'm hoping that once it indexes the next time I connect my iPod (and haven't changed anything on it) that it will be ready to use quickly. Thanks! gibhaus
From this topic it sounds like it will do what I want and not re-index every time, only when it sees changes. http://www.fordedgeforum.com/index.php?showtopic=1527

The next time you plug it in, all it does is update what you have added NEW to your ipod...
jamers1
Even so, I had nearly 1000 songs and it only took about 10 secs to index.

Whew...I got a lil ways to go to catch up with you, but with my amount of songs, I concur....only took about 3 seconds... *nods*
