edgemaster
Hi, My wife's 2007 Edge headlight lenses are kind of foggy in some spots.. I polished the outside real smooth but it seems to be on the inside. Is there any way to replace the plastic cover (or take them off and polish the inside) or do I have to replace the complete units? Seems like overkill to me. Thanks, Ed Sorry about that typo in the headline. Couldn't figure out how to correct that. WWWPerfA_ZN0W
If the headlights are anything like the taillights, you should be able to separate the lens from the body. There was a writeup sometime ago on how a member coated/painted the interior chrome parts of the taillights black, that has some tips on how to separate and re-join. http://www.fordedgeforum.com/topic/14008-diy-tail-light-painting/ Edited November 20, 2014 by WWWPerfA_ZN0W
edgemaster
Interesting article, thanks a lot for that. I'm guessing the headlight lenses are not available as spare parts, right? Only the complete assembly?
WWWPerfA_ZN0W
Have never found just the lenses. My guess is that if you did, brand new, they would nearly be the cost of the entire assembly. They try to push you into complete replacement these days.
