Fast7
New to the forum and new to the Ford Edge. But the forum has given me some great ideas. Today I went to a local muffler shop and had my center muffler removed and a straight pipe put in its place. The Edge sounds slightly different now, not a lot different but just a little louder with a bit of a deeper tone. I like it and am happy with the sound. It's such a small difference that no one should be worried that it will be too loud. Cost $60

Fast7
A sound clip won't sound any different than the factory exhaust. It's such a small difference.
good2Bking
Okay, as long as you're happy with the change; but I have to ask, for such a barely detectable difference, why bother? Isn't that piece there for a reason anyway?
Fast7
It's just a resonator and there to muffle the exhaust in addition to rear muffler I believe. I removed it just to get a bit of a deeper exhaust note. Edge runs fine and has a deeper tone to it. Easy mod and I like the tone.
