joeponcho
I am attempting to change the Right Inner Tie Rod on my 2010 Edge. Does anyone know if the end that is threaded into the steering box is "Crimped In" at the factory or is there a pin through it acting as a set screw? I am trying to figure out if it is something I can do myself or if it requires a lift or special tools other than the Tie Rod puller..... Thanks for any help.... WWWPerfA_ZN0W
The only special tool I see mentioned in the manual is the tie-rod-end-remover, plus a wrench. Other than that, you have to remove the stabilizer bar and steering gear to get at the inner tie rod. The lock washer on the inner tie rod end needs to be crimped. HTH.
