I have tried a (3/8)-Breaker Bar, Ratchet, with a 3/8-swivel. nothing will fit between the frame & the tension pulley. Thank You For Your Time & Help!! Bob.. frebrd18 Posted October 15, 2014 Report Share Posted October 15, 2014 I too had trouble with this and even went and bought a "slimmer" breaker bar which I returned. I endied up using a large adjustable wrench on the square top of the tensioner and it worked great. There are some good posts on here if you're doing the stretch power steering belt also. Lennyt Posted November 8, 2014 Report Share Posted November 8, 2014 I ended up using a 2.5 ft pry bar from under the vehicle to move the pulley, the whole job took about an hour to remove right tire & pull back splash guard.
