bankerjohn
Just purchased a previously Canadian-owned 2013 Edge SEL. The odometer is displaying miles, but the speedometer has the large numbers in KPH, with MPH in small numbers (see picture below). I've read through the owner's manual but don't find how to change the speedometer to MPH in the outer ring of large numbers.
akirby
You buy a new speedometer face. It's not electronic. Actually you have to change the entire cluster - $493.45. Edited September 15, 2014 by akirby

That's a real bummer, not to mention EXPENSIVE!
akirby
You can probably find a used one but you'd have to get a dealer to swap it out. The old one has to be deprogrammed and the new one reprogrammed to the car. Stickers would be easier.
youri631
I was driving a canadian car in england for a year (km/h instead of miles), and I have friends who owns US Car in Canada (miles instead of km/h). You will get used to the conversion pretty quickly and you should be able to follow the speed limits using km/h (for instance, 30 miles is about 50 km/h, 60 miles is about 100, etc). Personnally, I don't think it is worth spending the money to change the speedometer. Also, I believe the cruise control should be able to display your speed in miles on the left screen when you set it up.
Waldo
I spent 5 years driving my Canadian car in the US through college, then 8 years driving a US car in Canada, now I have 2 Canadian cars and 2 US cars and I spend half my day driving in Canada and half in the US. You get used to it.
