martysatx
i have a 2008 MKX and about once a week it, upon driving off it feels like it is stuck in first gear or in Low gear- it revs up, but it crawls forward. Once I stop and put it in park and back in drive it takes off fine and runs great. Has anyone else experienced this and got it resolved? WWWPerfA_ZN0W
Welcome to the forum! How many miles on your MKX? These TSBs come to mind as possibilities: http://www.revbase.com/BBBMotor/TSb/DownloadPdf?id=139970 http://www.revbase.com/BBBMotor/TSb/DownloadPdf?id=172679 http://www.revbase.com/BBBMotor/TSb/DownloadPdf?id=176597 http://www.revbase.com/BBBMotor/TSb/DownloadPdf?id=147858 So the suspects are: broken orifice cup, transmission range sensor, TSS/OSS sensors, or PCM calibration. I don't think it needs a valve body modification. Most likely an intermittent short in the transmission range sensor. tsb07-21-11 6F50 TRANSAXLES BUILT PRIOR TO 10-21-2007—DTC P0715, P0717, P0718, P0720, P0721, P0722 AND-OR HARSH ENGAGEMENT, NO UPSHIFT, FIFTH GEAR ONLY 2007-08 Edge.pdf tsb09-02-07_Flex MKS Harsh 1-2 Shift.pdf tsb10-09-09_6F50-6F55 TRANSMISSION - DTC P0751 - HARSH OR NO FORWARD ENGAGEMENTS - PERCEIVED SLIP ON ACCELERATION - SLIP-DELAYED AND-OR HARSH DOWNSHIFTS.pdf tsb11-12-10 6F50-55 Transmission slow acceleration 0-8mph followed by harsh bump or slip on takeoff followed by bump built before 20110415.pdf Edited August 27, 2014 by WWWPerfA_ZN0W
