tina666
I'm a new user and not a mechanic so my apologies for any incorrect terminology. I have 2011 edge with high mileage - 65,000. I recently had problems with the aircon - blowing cold air while driving the when stopped at lights it would blow warm air, then finally steam coming from the hood. I had 2 hoses replaced as they were withered at the ends. All seamed well then a week later the same symptoms and but this time it was the aircon clutch !!. Just last night the same symptoms again - steam coming out of the hood. Looks like I've go to take it back to the shop again. Already spent $1500 on it. Anyone had these problems ? omar302
From your description, cold when moving & hot when stopped, it is most probably the engine cooling fan(s).
tina666
Thanks for the info. Unfortunately my son just drove the car and the engine coolant warning light came, when my husband checked it was completely empty. I hope there is no engine damage.
