However, when get in, step on the brake and push the start button, the car shuts off and I have to restart. I don't believe this is normal. Any thoughts? artlewis Posted July 19, 2014 Author Report Share Posted July 19, 2014 The owner's manual does not address the topic. I touch the handle to unlock the door. Once in the car the left side screen tells me to step on the brake and push the start button. At that point the car shuts down. I have owned other remote start vehicles. Once inside the car stepping on the brake and pushing start turns on everything else not turned on remotely. The engine would keep running.
