Andreas
Hi, The "DOOR OPEN" sensor in my 2013 Edge is driving me nuts. It always indicates that the door is open. My warranty is toast and I've heard it can cost $200-$300 to replace the sensor. I was thinking I would just pull the fuse for the sensor, but I can't find it in the manual. It shows 4 pages of fuses but none for "door sensors". Does anyone know what fuse number is for the door sensors? Does this make sense? Can I save some cake by just yanking the right fuse? Thanks, Andreas
akirby
There is no separate fuse just for the door sensors. Have you tried spraying it heavily with WD-40?

enigma-2
I had that happen to me on my last car (Mercury). Easy fix was to spray WD40 into the door latch mech. Lubed and cut through the old grease and would hold for 2-3 years before I had to do it again. After you spray, open and close the door a couple of times, should free up and turn the light off. Try it before spending any $$$ as it does work! Edited December 17, 2014 by enigma-
