Anyone else dislike the chrome grill? w photoshop

I really like everything except the massive chrome grill. It doesn't look too bad in the pictures, but in person it is a bit excessive for my taste.

 

I'm no photoshop wiz, but I managed to cobble together this:

 

 

 

Since the grill is plastic, how difficult would it be to have it resprayed to match the body color? Anyone else with better photoshop skills care to give this a shot?

I like the chrome grill. I think it goes along the lines of "BOLD MOVES".

On this vehicle, I think it works. If anything, it would look ok black on a black Edge. Or just brushed stainless look on the other colors.

The body-color matching grille would make a good sport version model.

I agree. The one thing I do not like about the Edge and the Fusion is the gaudy grill. The body color paint looks much better. To answer your question, it could be painted...

 

I have always thought that the satin finnish Mercury Waterfall grill looks better and more classy in the Milan. I wish Ford had made a Mercury variant of the edge. I thought the front of the Mariner was well done. ( Not the new 2008 version, I think it was a step backwards... )

 

Of course it looks 100% better than that silly looking thing in the front of the Lincoln. I can honestly say that grill alone would prevent me from buying the MKX. If I some how obtained the MKX, that grill would have to go....
