Domenico Poiche Davero
Has anyone replaced the old navegation cd? I have heard rumors that most of the time it ends up bad and cannot go back to the old one to ever work properly again.
akirby
It's a DVD and if the update fails it can "brick" the system. I wouldn't do it unless you really need the most up to date maps.
frebrd18
I have an 07 and I bought one off ebay for twenty bucks and it works great. I've had it for about a year with no problems.
Snake21j
What dvd did you order from ebay...a current one or "2007"? The dvd for our 07 Edge was discarded by mistake. We have not had a navi dvd for the car since we bought it 4 years ago and would like to pick one up. Thanks
frebrd18
The one I got from ebay was the most current at the time, a 12P. The one that came with the car was a 4P. Every couple years they upgrade the DVD with new roads, POIS etc. and send a flyer to entice you to buy the 150 dollar disc. I was looking on eBay to get a more current, but not necessarily the most current, Ford DVD. Any version should work in your 07 (that what I have with the stock Pioneer head unit). The one I got on eBay is a burn but it works perfectly. If you don't want to risk a burn, you should be able to buy a 8P real Ford DVD or so for a decent price. Just get any DVD in good condition and you'll be good to go.
