strike2tamu
Here is how I removed the front emblem on my wifes 2011 Ford Edge SEL. First remove the (2) 10mm screws and 4 clips located on the top of the shroud. Marked with red circles are the things that need to be removed. Then gently pull back the shroud in the direction of the yellow arrows, do not go to far, just enough to get you hand in the hole in the center. You are reaching in and unclipping the three points on the trim piece that actually holds the emblem in place. They are circled in red in the picture below. (You can probay just use a 10mm socket and take the two nuts of the emblem, I didnt try this because it was much easier to just push the tabs down and unclip it) After you have removed the emblem and trim (if thats the way you did it) you simply unbolt the emblem from the trim using a 10mm socket. The rest I am sure you can figure out, to replace just reverse the order of course. Pics below. Edited May 13, 2014 by strike2tamu

Swood73
Nice Write up Strike2tamu. Exactly how I figured it out as well. I used a long paint stirring stick to reach and release the lower tab. I replaced my wife"s emblems witha set from Brent over at http://www.customtrucksolutions.com/apps/webstore/ My wofe chose the colors and I ordered. Brent has great customer services and replaied to my questions immediately. Thought I would share some photos. Thanks
ExNascarDood
Great post and pictures - thanks for taking the time to post this as they were helpful. One point that might make things a little clearer. On my '13 SEL, the emblem is seated in chrome surround. The emblem is bolted to this surround with 2 10 mm plastic bolts. The chrome surround then clips onto the grill with the three clips that you show in your picture above. I found it easiest to use a paint stir stuck press down on the tabs and release the surround from thet grill. I then ubolted the emblem from the surround, and remounted it to the grill by reinserting the clips. It was a little ticky but the key is seat the bottom 2 clips and them use a screwdriver to gently push in and mount the top clip. The replacement emblem I'm using has adhesive backing so if it used screws I would have mounted it on the surround before remounting the surround. I then used some rubbing alcohol and a rage to clean off the surround mounting area and mounted the replacement emblem and I was good to go !!!

ExNascarDood
How did u remove the rear one off the edge and where did u buy it at ? I used this one for the rear https://www.etsy.com/ca/listing/174341491/custom-ford-emblem-black-with-chrome?ref=shop_home_active_11 Very happy with it and fast shipping. Best part if it is a metal cover that goes over the existing emblem so you don't have to remove the current one at all. I just cleaned it with some rubbing alcohol and used the already attached adhesive tape on the cover to put it on. Just an option in case you don't want to bother removing the rear emblem ..... Mikey2721
If I just wanted to swap the emblem with a new decal can just the ford logos themselves on front and back come off with just being heated up and removed with fishing line? Is the logo itself the part that clips in or just the surrounding piece that holds it in place?
jrSS
Rear badge is held on by double sided sticky tape. Here are the new badges I ordered from a guy from eBay.
WWWPerfA_ZN0W
Actual badges, not stick-on covers, right? Look great!
jrSS
Yes. They are badges not overlays. And thanks I love them
dan-c
Hi all. I know I'm late to this party but I want to update this with my findings. My 2013 SEL (I wonder if the appearance package makes a difference?) front emblem was swept away probably by a car wash. I tried like mad to unclip it like the OP suggested but after some cussing and WTFs I found you can only remove the emblem and emblem seat by removing the 10mm nuts that hold the emblem to the seat because they are both mounted to the grill. Now that I know that, next time it will be 10mm nut removal only. Edited March 25, 2016 by dan-c

omar302
How do I remove the rear emblem? Do I have to remove the plastic from the interior of the rear gate? Watching this video, it seems removing the emblem is possible without removing the light bar.
roots57
no removal of components is needed for the Gen-II rear emblem, just a heat gun/hairdryer (or even a hot day) and some fishing line, you basically just cut thru the adhesive with the fishing line, the warmer it is the easier it cuts. I had to use a screwdriver to push the clips. I also had to hold the grill with one hand when I pushed the emblem back. Let's hope the replacement will be OK for the next 5 years. callatis
Not even 2 months and I had to replace the after-market emblem one more time. The whole front plate was removed during my last car wash (Petro Canada). The front emblem was glued using hot glue, very cheap made. So I went to dealer and picked up an OEM emblem for $54CAD ($10 off). The good part is Ford decided to make new emblems, this time it's not blue enamel paint, the blue plate is made from plastic blue color.
