akirby
I have the same problem - just diagnosed it today. One fan won't come on even when wired directly to battery power. I don't think the computer has to be reset.
E/O 9
Well I replaced the fan this morning. Took about two hours. Left the ground cable disconnected from battery during install. It cleared the ecu for me and now car runs great. Before it over heated twice. The a/c was only blowing cold when you were driving. It would blow hot when stopped. Now it's cold as ice all the time. Also before the main fan was intermitinely working and the secondary would never turn on. Now as soon as you turn on the air the secondary fan kicks right on. Car never got hot at all. Temp stayed in the middle range of gauge. Got the replacement fan on amazon it arrived two days later. Slid right in the first try! No issues. Only $140! Way less than any auto parts store or dealer.
