Uncoiler
I love the silver "Edge" door sill plates on my new Limited, but felt it would look so much better if I added the silver "Sport" pedals to go along with them. I ordered them from the parts department and they came in a bigger box than I was expecting. As it turns out the brake pedal is just a pad you slide off and on (which I expected), but the gas pedal is the whole assembly, arm, switch and all. The gas pedal assembly was easy to remove and replace with the new one. Just 3 nuts holding it down on studs, and 1 electrical connector to the switch. The factory brake pedal pad was easy to remove, but the new one was a little tricky to put on. It may have helped if I used a little grease but I didn't. It just required the right amount of rotating and persuasion to get the new one on. I have a handy Snap On pic type tool that helps get the rubber lip over the steel brake pedal. Anyway I am happy with the results, just excuse the dirt and mud in the pic as it's spring time in this neck of the woods so it's tough to keep anything clean.
