chrs93
I have a 2007 Edge Limited. I am going to swap engines due to blown head gaskets and its same cost to swap motors vs pay labor to replace gaskets. My question is what can expect to have to purchase or do to swap the motor? I know all the fluids and A/C recharge. Anything else I will have to do to make a swap happen?
nickf1011
You'd have to check if any of the fasteners are torque-to-yield. Those should typically be replaced instead of re-used.

My local ford dealers have not been very helpful at this point Would probably only be able to find it in a Ford service manual at this point. Not really sure where to point you on that I'm afraid. I'm guessing you wouldn't really encounter them in too many places if you're swapping an entire engine. Perhaps on the flywheel and exhaust manifolds. Most of those sorts of fasteners are used on the "guts" of things.
