predapio
Got a letter from Ford saying that the warranty for the SYNC in the Edge was extended to 5 years with unlimited mileage. It also includes any future software updates. Old news to you guys? Still pretty cool.
ls973800
I saw some owner's over on an F150 forum talking about the letter over the last week or so. Back in January of 2013 I received a letter, Customer Satisfaction Program 12M02, extending the warranty to 5 years, regardless of mileage, on the Accessory Protocol Interface Module. I'm not sure if this recent letter some owner's are receiving is different, but it sounds like it may be. Your letter and the ones I've read about on the F150 forum mention SYNC, not just the APIM. I will see if I get a follow up letter or not. Perhaps the Ford customer service or someone in the know can explain the two letters, and if there is any difference in what is covered. amx
I just purchased a 2011 Ford Edge with sync How do I get one of these letters
FordIVTteam
Hi amx,In the past, the letters were being mailed twice a year, but unfortunately, I don't have an ETA for if and/or when they'll be mailed again. Since it's tied to your VIN, you don't actually need the letter, but if you do want it, your dealership will be able to print it from their system.Rebecca
