brettd
Hi All, I am new to the forum. I am about to buy an 2008 Edge Limited pretty much loaded. However, i am torn over spending all the cash on the factory GPS when a top-of-the-line Garmin Nuvi is less than half the price. Aside from the ability to move it between cars and price, why should i get an external GPS? I am leaning towards integrated GPS. Also, Sync can be upgraded which means that there may be future integration with the GPS. THat would be COOL. Thanks for your thoughts, Brett
07 MKX
Pioneer makes the head unit, Navteq does the navigation part. As for nav upgrades, their is one already, it's called a new DVD map. Comes out every year. Don't think you'll see any collaboration between Navigation and Sync or you'd be reading about that now when you read something about Sync. Commands and function that the system recognizes are listed in the back part of a menu screen for the navigation. The '07 ones show it, but it wouldn't work until Ford sync'ed it with the ability to respond to voice Edited October 30, 2007 by 07 MKX
