PrinzII
Stage I: Carpet Cleaning I needed to get the carpet cleaned like yesterday because it was so filthy from the tar and other grime we pick up on our shoes. I got my carpet cleaned in the house and I asked him to do the Edge. Here are the before and afters..... Before: After:
PrinzII
Up next: Cleaning the engine. Trust me, it needs it badly due to the AZ dust out here.
WWWPerfA_ZN0W
Great idea having the Edge carpets done at the same time! Got your work cut out for you in the engine bay
PrinzII
Tell me about it. I may have to work with a friend of mine to clean the motor. I really will need to seal my HID connections to make sure that no water gets in them.
PrinzII
I tried applying wax and sealant recently but the heat outside was way too brutal. Kept drying my stuff before I could wipe it.
WWWPerfA_ZN0W
The heat's been nuts here (except after the rains), but glad I'm not anywhere near AZ! Automatic touchless carwash is my friend
mcali6301
Same deal in San Diego! The sun dries the water and causes spots before I can get around to drying it myself. TOUCHLESS CARWASH is the best ever!!! Made the mistake of a fully auto once and scratched the chrome clads...NEVER AGAIN! I too just cleaned my carpets the other day. This works great! only challenge is making sure you clean evenly. https://www.turtlewax.com/shop/products/turtle-wax-oxy-power-out-carpet-cleaner-18-fl-oz-
PrinzII
I was going to get it washed yesterday until I started seeing dark clouds and the wind was picking up. Seeing that we are in "monsoon season", I thought better and decided to wait until another day to get it washed.
PrinzII
One thing I am doing that really is paying dividends is a two step process to get the console shiny again. The first thing is to apply Klasse All In One to polish the console. Second step is to apply a nice carnauba wax (In my case, Pinnacle XMT 180). Another thing I am doing is polishing the "pillars" between the front and back door as well as by the rear vent window with Klasse All In One. That gets rid of any water stains.
