michaelfriesen
No, it's not the bulb The light only comes on when the visor is in a certain position. I managed to get the lens off but I'm wondering if anyone has taken the entire mirror off of the visor and if so, how did they do it? Our home link buttons work fine in any visor position. When you're looking straight up at it, there is constant 12VDC+ positive on the right side of the light bulb socket (looks like a small fuse holder) so I am assuming that the ground on the left hand side of the light bulb socket is switched and the ground wire is loose. The contacts seem fine. I can't see any screws so if anyone has ever taken one of these off the visor, let me know what the trick is. BTW, the bulbs for these vanity lights in the visors are DE3021 - slightly smaller in width but same diameter. Took a bit of searching on the net and calling around but I managed to find them at Lordco (in case you're reading this and live in Canada).
