predapio Posted March 2, 2014 Report Share Posted March 2, 2014 Damn, sorry to hear. On my wife's Edge the passenger side HID now refuses to come on, even after cycling on and off. RustyEdge Posted March 3, 2014 Report Share Posted March 3, 2014 I know some people have had problems with them, but I'm more than happy with my DDM HID's. I took others advise and did not use their wiring harness, rather I ordered a morimoto harness. I do get the occasional mis-fire on the ballast upon starting the car only. I think this has to do more with the cycle timing of the engine turining over and pulling more amps at the same time as the ballast trying to fire. If I let the lights fully ignite before turning the key all the way, no issues! They are much cheaper and seem more reliable. I don't have any experience with their customer service which just means that I haven't needed too. The two shipments I received came quickly and accurate (they do ship from China but still came within 5 working days). There are other vendors besides TRS and DDM that folks have been happy with, one of them being HIDextra.com. c_bova Posted March 4, 2014 Report Share Posted March 4, 2014 He whole one light not coming on all the time when they fire up seems to have something to do with auto headlights if you are using that setting.
