macbwt
I just purchased the updated valve cover and will be replacing the old one. Let's see if this helps with the oil consumption.

macbwt
I was able to replace the KYB shocks under warranty with 100K miles on them through rockauto. 12 bucks for shipping though. I have the new ones installed and have been riding around on them for over a week now.

macbwt
At 212,000 miles I decided LU needed a cocktail of sorts. This is what I did.
macbwt
What to expect at 213,000 miles the one thing that destroys most cars in the midwest. RUST. this is my approach to extending the life of the Edge, but you can not stop rust just slow it down.
macbwt
What I did to LU to make a bit more noise
omar302
I still didn't get why you removed it? Only for the increased noise? That doesn't sound like you. Ā I guess your next video will be on how to change the brake light bulbs, Blueberry right top bulb is out (seen @ 17:52). Ā Also, maybe you already know this, but with ForScan you can monitor the individual tire pressures as reported by the TPMS through the BCM. I did this to get a bit more noise and to see what the real deal was. No change in git up go and no change in MPG's Just more noise on acceleration and yes I kinda like noise on acceleration. Plus not a video I found of anyone actually performing the job. A lot of after the fact so since LU agreed to the operation I said why not. Thanks for the tail light I have not noticed it was out. I do not drive BB much. Guess I will have to go out and buy LED brake light now. LOL
macbwt
Repaired the coil pig tail connector on my Edge. This is how you can repair or replace the connector.
macbwt
Well when I made the Title of this thread I never meant for it to include me driving a 2018 Hyundai Sport 2.4 AWD, but hey it is a rental so I will make lemonade out of the lemons while my Edge is in the body shop being buffed up and made good again. Got a few cosmetic major changes coming up so be ready.
macbwt
A mod due to an accident so why not take advantage of the situation and make the Edge look even better than before.

macbwt
Gotta love it. -6 below zero and LU cranked and started without a flaw at 220,700 miles.
macbwt
How well does the 221,000 mile Duratec start in -5 degree weather. Pretty well. Check out the cold operation via forscan lite.

chefduane
Awesome! But, good God man, what is all that white stuff on the ground!? macbwt
Nearly 224,000 miles had a hiccup for the second time in three months. rough idle and hesitation at start from stop light. Wondering if I should pack a small socket set and the spare Throttle body into the Edge just in case.
