GH53
I have a 2007 ford edge with a ford remote starter installed by ford dealer. it came with 2 fobs and 1 has quit working. I have changed battery and the light on the fob lights. Nothing happens to the edge no lights flash or door lock. My second fob works fine is there a reset. ls973800
Owner's manual says that replacing the battery will not cause the FOB to lose any functions. Page 126 of this linked owner's manual has the steps to reprogram a FOB. Before doing that, I would switch batteries between the working and the non working FOB just to make sure the replacement one is strong enough. http://www.fordservicecontent.com/Ford_Content/catalog/owner_guides/07edgog3e.pdf
omar302
If the FOB your referring to the original remote keyless entry fob, as ls973800 stated. You can also check the vehicles owner's manual & try to program the remote again. If it is the remote start FOB, I found this Programming Instruction manual that you can try. I will try reprogramming before purchasing a new key.
