Ron Bemberry
OK guys and girls if any are here with us guys... now the edge was rated a 4 on braking system which sucks given the fact that the edge has a score of 6 on everything else. So I goin to swap out the old disk with new high performance drilled and slotted disk with creamic pads. .. which should give it a better braking job... do u guys agree. Tell me wat u think? akirby
Rotors won't help at all. Pads will help more than anything but I don't know if ceramics are the best or not. Stainless steel brake lines will help the pedal feel.
WWWPerfA_ZN0W
Hawk HPS are some of the best low-dusting pads around, they need to be bedded in properly for optimal performance (VERY important). I personally would stay away from drilled/slotted rotors unless appeareance/tracking/frequent hard stops criteria are involved. Most rotors are bored/slotted AFTER manufacture, not created with the bores/slots cast into the mold.
