CinnamonEdge
So I have a 2012 Edge with 4000miles. Ive noticed that the doorway weatherstrips are starting to shrink at the corners to the point where you can see a 1/4 inch gap between where it attaches to the body and the weatherstrips. I think im getting air noise too. The front Ford emblem is also starting to corrode. Does anyone know if the ford emblem and weather striping would be replaced under warranty? WWWPerfA_ZN0W
Don't know for sure, but I WOULD expect them to, under B2B. Those parts are supposed to last a LONG time. The only "excuse" I have seen from Ford (on this forum) re: corroded parts is that the vehicle was not designed for roads that are salted. c_bova
after 27k miles on my Edge (was way less than that when I noticed) my front emblem start clouding up too. Took it to the dealer and they replaced it under warranty. Edited January 29, 2014 by c_bova
factor99
My front emblem was replaced under warranty too. They had to send a picture to Ford for approval first.

Hey CinnamonEdge, Have you discussed this with the service manager at your Ford Dealer? Send me a PM with your full name, best daytime phone number, VIN, and preferred servicing dealership; I'll look into available options.
