Vortechtral
So on the weekend I finally finished putting in the front amber lights on the Edge. Tested out fine. Noticed this morning however when driving to work my signals flash at least double the speed of the normal. Leaving work getting onto the highway signals on, flashing slow. I found that if the headlights are on the signals flash fast and off they flash normal speed. I have Daytime Brite's LEDs in the rear and front (the optional LED package 2 reverse 4 amber) Any ideas why this is happening, and how to keep it at normal speed always? Thanks. bldog
Same problem for me, its an Edge thing. I got my LED amber lights from Dan & he's going to get me a resistor to put in. If you got yours from Dan, contact him
kc300c
Hi guys, the Ford EDGE has a very flaky electrical system, as many of you are well aware of (especially HID kit users). I have found that about 10% of the Edges that have had my LED kits installed into experience a hyperflash issue. The other 90% don't have any problems at all, including me. (I have them installed in my EDGE). Some customers have been able to eliminate the hyperflash by performing these steps: 1) Flip the LEDs 180 degrees, 2) switch the LEDs from one side to the other, and 3) Move the front LEDs to the rear and the rear LEDs to the front. If none of these cure the hyperflash, I am sending customers a set of resistors at no charge to attach to the turn signal wires (very simple to do with no wire cutting or splicing). The resistors will definitely eliminate the hyperflash. Vortechtrol, try these steps and if they still hyperflash, shoot me an email at info@DAYTIMEBrightLites and I will send you a set of resistors.
SIRROMMOTORSPORTS
Like Dan said above... generally a 50 watt 6 Ohm resister will solve the hyper flash
