Eatinitup
Why don't you just install a set of Kicker KS 6x8's and call it a day.. Forget the tweeter! I installed 4 of these KS 6x8's in my Edge along with the Kicker DX 400.4 channel and its loud as hell. Also installed two 12' Kicker L7's in a customer kicker box along with the ZX Kicker Class D 1500.1 Mono Amp. Loudest system i've ever heard, honestly.. Head unit is the Pioneer AVIC Z150BH
robert r edwards jr
thanks for the advice but the 40css684 system is already installed.when i purchased the system from sonicelectronix it had the green check symbol for fitment.i thought there wouldn't be any problem flush mounting the tweeter.i went back online and found this website.www.diymobileaudio.com/cheap,adjustable,easily replaceable tweeter pods.all you need is pvc end caps that fit the tweeters.threaded steel nipples/w hex nuts.bedliner to go over the pvc to make the texture look like the door panels.then spray paint over the tweeter pods with the matching door trim color.the price about $20.00 to $40.00.problem solved!
