lakini302
Help! My check engine light has been on since last night. I was able to use the remote start leaving a restaurant last night, but when I got in the car the check engine light was on. I stopped at the grocery on the way home and the remote start wouldn't work. Check engine light has been on ever since and I am unable to use the remote start at all. The side lights flash like they normally do when I try the remote start, but the horn just honks once now and that's it. I have a 2013 ecoboost model. Any thoughts? akirby
Simple - take it to the dealer since it should still be under warranty. Someone needs to read the code to see what the problem is. Per the OM - if the light is flashing do not drive any more than necessary.
lakini302
Thanks! That's the plan -- thought I'd check here first in case it was a simple fix. Check engine light is not flashing and is solid. We're going to get some extremely cold temps and inclement weather over the next two days and I plan to hibernate and only go to work. Think it's ok to drive to work only until I can get it to the dealer on Wednesday?
akirby
If it's not flashing then it's safe to drive.
