Rampomaltin
Hello edge community and enthusiasts. Im from puerto rico and i own a 2010 baby blue-ish sel ford edge. Got it as a gift and thought it could use manlyness, so i went ahead and plastidipped the grille, exhaust tips, rims, and 2 parts in the back. It looks way way better man, and my friend made a very good job with that plasti dip... 6 hours well spent. Future upgrades will be, hids, alpine or kenwood speakers, pirelli tires, tune and slight more engine work. Hope you like my edge ✌️
WWWPerfA_ZN0W
Welcome to the forum, and congrats on your Edge! Good work on your upgrades and great list of future upgrades. What wheels did you go with? If tinting windows is legal in PR, you might want to get the fronts & windshield done also. What engine work are you looking to do, for appearance or power or both? wlepse
Looks good but never thought of platidippin exhaust tips...do you get a burning smell from that? I know once I got a plastic bag stuck on my muffler and it stuck for a while. Just wondering if the plastidip has a higher temp rating. Rampomaltin
@wlepse plasti dip is a very durable product. They can candle above 200 fahrenheit. I just washed mine today, detailed the hell out of it and the exhaust tips are looking as good as the first day. Im looking to make it roar and go faster, was thinking maybe drop in a filter but i could use some advice of which filter works better also the exhaust. Some chip out there? Any help is welcomed
Rampomaltin
Also, plastic bags are way too fragile and their chemical components make it burn way faster. Plus its thin layer is easy to burn
