larry_green
Engine shut off while at a stop light, low engine oil pressure warning indicator lamp and message appeared. I was able to restart the car, drive home, checked the oil stick, the oil was below the recommended range so I added oil to bring within the recommended range. drove edge and the engine hasn't shut off. I am still taking my edge to the dealership. Has anyone else experienced this or similar situation? I have a 2012 edge, limited. thirdgenlxi
You do know that when the engine isn't running, you don't have any oil pressure because the oil pump isn't turning....right?? More than likely a throttle body gone bad....

Waldo
I second the throttle body diagnosis. Unless you saw the low oil pressure warning while the engine was still running, then that is not your problem. Your problem is that the engine stalled, and the most common cause is the throttle body, though the 2012s shouldn't really have that problem.
