wannabang
I've lived in Ohio my whole life, and winter has always been a time of preparation. You gotta prepare yourself to go outside, decorate for the holidays, and cleans the house for family (or travel to family). Since the snow came this week, I was wondering how you all prepare for winter, since were' obviously diving into it already. What are your first steps? Usually it's Christmas decorations and cleaning the house, getting the shovels and sleds down from the attic, and getting a picture with Santa (it's Mom's favorite part). This year, I was thinking I'd prepare my Edge a little more than just washing the salt off occasionally as I did last winter. I was thinking I'd apply PD Glossifier to my front end, lower part of the doors, and the underside of the rear end. I don't expect this to prevent snow, but let the salt wash off easier and not have any paint damage if I don't wash it off until the end of winter, so I can use Dr. Colorship in the spring. fishx65
I touch up the undercoating, rainx all the glass and put a few coats of Zaino on. The Z easily makes it through a Michigan winter.
wannabang
Tomorrow morning, I'm doing a bra and a foot up on each side of the Edge to protect from salt/slush/rocks for the winter. It's 40 degrees outside, so I'll post on how it looks when it's done. Maybe even some pictures. Washed it well yesterday, but we'll see how the dip goes on. Cellbine
The dip was the first thing that pop'd into my mind.
wannabang
Great minds... you know. I think of uses for it all the time, now...
wannabang
Decided to do only one side of the car with PD. Partly because I parked too close to the wall to get to the other side, but also to see if the PD would actually do anything for the winter. SoCalEdge2012
One of the few good things about southern california....mild winters. Suppose to get back up to 70 degrees in a few days.. For the edge, just gonna give it a coat of glaze and a waxing.
Drive XR7
I'm in NE Ohio. I installed a set of winter wheels/tires on my wife's Edge. It already had plenty of coats of sealant and wax, so that's about all I do for it.
