Raman
Hi, I have a 2012 Ford Edge Ltd, and in the last year, over a handful of times, i'll be driving approx 50 km/h and out of the blue, it feels as if i can't accelerate, and when i look at the revs, it shows its climbing up to 4000!!! i can feel the pull, but cant get out of it for at least 10 seconds or so, which is a long time whithout the ability to accelerate! anyone else have this issue. Kinda scary when it happens because I have no real control of the gas pedal and if i tap on it or slowly push down on it it just causes engine to rev even higher, so i let it calm itself down and then boom, back to normal, revs drop and i can accelerate again! anyone got suggestions
WWWPerfA_ZN0W
Could be a faulty throttle body, could require PCM update to make sure transmission is shifting correctly, OSS/VSS sensors could be going bad. Those are my top 3 suggestions (most likely items with the Edge).
