Good_Hands
Come December - bye, bye. One down (Aston Martin) two, maybe even three (Volvo), to go: Ford plans to get rid (others call it a sale) of its two remaining British premium brands Jaguar and Land Rover until mid-December, the Spanish daily El Mundo reported, citing Ford Europe chairman and CEO John Fleming. "We are well on and in two months at the most we'll know which of the groups interested in the brands will be their new owner," Fleming told El Mundo. When asked if the two British marques could be sold separately, Fleming ruled out the possibility saying: “"No, not really. They are both very integrated and it would be difficult to sell them separately”. As for your next obvious question, Ford is still thinking about what it should do with Volvo. "Volvo is a fundamental partner in the development of safety and environmental technology. It would be very dangerous to hand it over to a competitor," he told El Mundo.
