joshj84
Hey guys.. I'm looking at getting some Yokohama Parada Spec-X tires and was just curious whats the widest we can go without looking dumb? I know stock is 265/40/22 but can we fit a 285/45/22 on there? JETZ
Yes 285 will fit, but why 45? It will throw your speedo off for sure, too tall. I have two sets of these wheels for my EX and will order 35 AR. Go to tirerack.com. 285/45=32.2'' TOO tall 285/40=31.1'' 285/35=30.1''what I will order almost same as stock 265/40=30.5'' stock Edited November 10, 2013 by JETZ

Jcaci88
The new F-150 are coming stock with 275 45 22. Is that a fair/safe set up to use if Ford is using that? Im trying to fill in as much wheel well/side wall gap as possible? Unless you guys think 285 45 22 would do the trick. Just don't want to rub on inner sway bar up front when making u-turns and K-turns etc. please let me know.....
akirby
285/45 is way too big - might fill up the wheel wells and may or may not rub but your speedo and odo will be off significantly unless you have it recalibrated. F150 and Edge are completely different vehicles - you shouldn't consider F150 wheels/tires in relation to Edge.
Jcaci88
I'm actually looking to put this on a 2008 Adrenalin Explorer Sport Trac with factory 20's. So I was informed the F-150 set up is very similar. I have a set of 2013 Edge Sport 22's rims and just looking to put a good full size tire to fill up the wheel well and more than a 40 series to absorb the bumps and pot holes. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.....
mills2626
Buy some H&R Springs to get rid of the gap:-)
