gcole26
I was following the instructions, and the connector for the transaxle is pretty straight forward but I guess I was having a mildly retarded moment?
autom8r
Ā Push the lever over the top of the connector in the direction shown on the drawing. The connector will disengage from the cover. Ā Good Luck!
gcole26
Yeah thats what I was doing yesterday and no joy. I dont know if its gunked up in the channel that the lever travels in. Do you think wd 40 would work at clearing it out?
autom8r
Take it to a do-it-yourself car wash and clean the engine off. This should dislodge any gunk that's there. WD may emulsify whatever is there, but it won't blow out the gunk. My 2 cents.
gcole26
The engine is clean though, no visible gunk or junk near that connector

biglindy71
Does anyone else have any other ideas on this? I'm having the same issue and can't seem to get it off... I am trying to move the 'lever' piece over the switch but can't get it to budge and I'm afraid to break it...
WWWPerfA_ZN0W
Can you post a detailed pic(s) of the area?
biglindy71
Hopefully this picture will come through. This is taking a look from the top at the piece I'm trying to get off.
biglindy71
These things are so frustrating! I finally figured it out though... There is a space underneath the grey portion of the clip that allows for something like a flat screwdriver to be placed in there. Once you do that the grey 'lever' piece slides right over the top of the connector - easy peasy. I hope this helps the next guy!
