Nick Halstead
Finally got to PA from Hawaii and installed the Darkstar RMM, works great, I dunno what all the vibration talk is about, or maybe it's jus that I've had my Edge apart so many times that I put it back together better than initial deliver...AHAHAHAH. Also, took 2 years, but can finally run 93 tune!

WWWPerfA_ZN0W
Could not turn up the volume on the video, but sounded good from what I could make out. Did you retain the catalytic converters?

tmarsh
What did I do today(and yesterday)? Those ebay signature switchback bezels, and morimoto LED fog lights. Beware before you order these, they do not fit. If you happen to make them fit, they do not latch in. If you happen to secure them, no fog light housing will fit. If you happen to secure a fog light and aim it correctly, you will need to wire everything. If you happen to get that far, welcome to the fog light club! Ill create a post explaining how I did it and post a ink here. Edited October 28, 2018 by tmarsh
lildisco
Those fog lights look amazing. What all did you have to do to get them to work? Special parts from Europe?
TheGrossman
Wow! Fog lights look great!! I'd be interested on how you did it too! Sounds like a royal PIA but the results look like it was worth it!

Dukhaykh
Removed the driveshaft on my AWD and now it’s FWD ??.
WWWPerfA_ZN0W
Just remember you still have the PTU transferring power to the front right axle. Probably less like to fail in a FWD configuration, but no data on that. Edited November 7, 2018 by WWWPerfA_ZN0W

As per the Service Manual, the PTU only send power to the rear.
WWWPerfA_ZN0W
Yes, but it still sits in between the trans and the right drive axle. It is physically connected. And, as noted in your excerpt, really it is ALWAYS transferring power (except in P/N), it is NOT electronically controlled, purely mechanical. The electronic control is between the driveshaft and the thing people think of as the RDU, aka the ATC. The 4x4 module determines how much to send to the rear axles, and sends the signal to the ATC. The ATC then engages the %age the 4x4 commands.
Dukhaykh
A friend of mine did something with the fuses and made the AWD comes OFF (Dashboard lights says AWD OFF) and FW only works now without even removing the driveshaft! that means this thing is also controlled electrically.
jimbop99
I decided I would do the radiator drain and fill with 63K on my 2014 with 3.5 V6. I put it up on ramps and drained the radiator. I was a little disappointed to only get a gallon of coolant out. I guess I'll just hold on to the second gallon of premixed and do it again in maybe 5,000 miles?
WWWPerfA_ZN0W
Pretty normal. Which is why when you do a DIY "flush", it takes quite a few drains/fills along the way. How many miles on your 2014 now? How many miles do you put on in a year? It will take about 4x of this to finish refreshing the coolant, 1x is done, so 3 more to go. What kind of interval do you recommend I use for the next three drain and fills?
WWWPerfA_ZN0W
Do it within a year and you should be good. So about every 4 months or 5,000 miles as you suggested should work fine. Are you using OEM coolant or aftermarket. Might not do any harm to mix aftermarket, but I don't like taking chances. If mixing, I would do it all as soon as possible.
